RURAL FUTURES MEETING

Hello everyone

A friendly reminder that the next Rural Futures meeting is this Wednesday, 13 November at 7pm in the Town hall.
As discussed in the message below, this meeting will focus on:

Planning a community event.

The purpose of the event is to discuss and publicise the formation of a new community group in Grosmont to lead on community agreed action. This would include an invitation for people to become involved themselves. It has also been suggested as an opportunity to gather wider views on some of the topics under discussion by people in the village since the Shaping Grosmont event/ report. We have previously proposed that this might include people’s views about renovations to the town hall,  market research about the village shop and opportunities to develop a play space but this can be confirmed as part of the event planning.

The aim will be for the event to appeal to a wide section of the community to attend.  Please have a think about what shape this event might take to achieve this. Whilst we do want the chance to talk to people it can be more than a “consultation event” – bring your ideas please!

Please remember, once we have developed plans, Grosmont Events have kindly offered to help provide support with logistics.

I hope to see you on Wednesday- you’ve involvement is absolutely key.

Best wishes

Peter Willis
