GROSMONT FUTURES

A friendly reminder that the next Grosmont Futures meeting is next Wednesday, 15 Jan 7-8.30pm @ Town Hall.  I have been asked to forward the message below from members of Grosmont Futures to stress how crucial it is for people to attend.

Best wishes

Peter

Dear Member of Grosmont Futures

As you know, from Peter’s last email, there is a meeting next week on 15th January to take forward the Grosmont’s Got Talent Event planned for March , for which we have secured a microgrant of £750. This will include the launch of the proposed Grosmont Business Directory and is planned to be the platform for engaging more support in the Grosmont Futures projects.

Following a really good turn out at the November meeting, it was disappointing and frustrating that the last Grosmont Futures meeting was very poorly attended with only three of us present, therefore making it difficult to plan, share ideas and make decisions. In order to make Grosmont Futures happen we need a core group of people who are committed and willing to provide input across a wide skills set from making the tea, delivering leaflets, coordinating events to completing complicated forms! We need a diverse group of people, across the community, who are willing to share their knowledge, talents and ideas to work together for the duration of the projects.

The time for talking is over, now its time for ACTION. At the meeting on Wednesday 15th we must put together an active steering group, otherwise nothing will happen, Grosmont Futures will fold and £100,000 will be lost to the village.

So please, please, please come along
