GROSMONT FUTURES – 21 MARCH 2020

Grosmont Futures is a group that has evolved from the Rural Futures programme in Grosmont. We have been working to agree on priorities for making the village an even better place to live – most importantly, renovation of the Town Hall to make it fit for purpose as a central hub and facility, providing the focus for many existing and potential community activities.

From the initial group of 50+ villagers who showed interest from the outset, a steering group of around 15 people has emerged. But we need still more people, from across the community, who are willing to share their knowledge, skills & experience to work together and help turn ideas into action, for the good of our community. A Lottery-funded grant of up to £100,000 has been ring-fenced for use on suitable projects in Grosmont.

On 21st March we are hosting an event in the Nave: Grosmont’s Got Talent. Aimed at showcasing Grosmont, it will also give you the opportunity to learn more about Grosmont Futures – and to get involved. The event (funded by a £750 grant from the Rural Futures Micro-Grant scheme) will include:

The launch of the Grosmont Business Directory
