We are sad to learn from Jill McVann that Bob Wilcox died late last night, having contracted Covid-19 in his Abergavenny nursing home.

Many in the village will remember Bob in his role as a local councillor and as headteacher of our village primary school.

Bob will always be remembered for the part he played in village life – he was recently seen in the video of 1995’s VE Day celebrations shown to mark the 75^th anniversary – and all he did for Grosmont.
