Lookout for Fake Netflix Emails…

Action Fraud has now received over 2,000 reports of fake Netflix emails.

The email states that the recipients account is ‘on hold’ due to payment issues.

The web link provided leads to a genuine looking Netflix login page which then asks to fill out your payment information.

Never click on web links or attachments in emails, instant messages (IM) or texts as this can lead to malicious software such as spyware being downloaded to your device.

If you spot a suspicious email, you can report it by forwarding the email to the Suspicious Email Reporting Service – Report@phishing.gov.uk
