In previous years the friends and congregation  of St Nicholas Grosmont have donated Christmas collections to charities that are dear to our hearts. This year, with few opportunities to get together, the PCC agreed to make some Christmas donations out of church funds. We are delighted to support the following:

St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford £480

Abergavenny Food Bank £250

Save the Children Fund £150

Don McMath Foundation £120

The first three probably need no introduction, but the Don McMath Foundation may not be so familiar. For several years, Children’s Church have sponsored Modu, a boy in the Gambia,  making a regular financial commitment out of their own fundraising to support his education. Modu left school this year but we were keen to recognise all that Children’s Church have done for him over the years with a donation to the foundation.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported St Nicholas this year and has enabled us to give a little back to these important organisations.
