Richard has retired after 50 years at the Grosmont Post Office and Shop. At the weekend he was presented with a card. The wording on the card is printed below, along with some photographs.

Dear Richard

Enjoy your retirement, you deserve it, but we’ll miss you!

To show our appreciation we will be holding a party for you when Covid restrictions ease and intend to spoil you rotten.

In the meantime, when they are available we’re getting you a season ticket for the 2022-23 Bristol Rovers season and a bench or set of garden furniture so you can sit in the sun with a cup of coffee & the crossword and remember us all in Grosmont.
