Grosmont Community Council’s new online sub-committee – and an update on the Grosmont Community Hub Facebook page

Posted on October 24, 2022 by grosmontweb

Hello from Jude at the community council here in Grosmont, Monmouthshire.

From Monday 24/10/22 all council news on upcoming meetings, elections and project updates in the village will be posted on the Grosmont Community Hub page (click the hyperlink to visit and join). These will join the usual posts from the website, plus updates on the Grosmont Futures project, Grosmont Events and other local initiatives.

Rather than have lots of different Facebook pages, and in the spirit of the council working together with village project coordinators, we thought it best to join together! The Grosmont Community Council page only set up in May is now therefore redundant. (Grosmont Noticeboard, of course, is a separate entity, not run by the council, but for all villagers to use and long may it thrive.)

We now have a sub-committee in the council, Grosmont Online, incorporating myself, Jamie Edwards and Grosmont Futures Deborah Nevill (who is working on online ideas for that project). We are looking to make Grosmont’s online presence work better for the whole community, and are in the process of putting together a short survey, which we will launch in the next few weeks, to find out what you think about the current website. We are very keen to hear your feedback and ideas. Making this community hub page work well is just the start.

More soon. Thanks for reading and get in touch if you want to know more.

Have a good week!

Jude Rogers, Grosmont Community Council
