29th July – keep this date free for a fun filled day in Grosmont. A 10K Fancy Dress Fun Run, followed by afternoon tea and prosecco, followed by an evening of entertainment from the BBC Acoustic Band. This event is being organised by Charlie Jones to raise money for Velindre Cancer Centre in memory of Jeanette Farr who received exceptional care from the staff at the centre. The theme for Fancy Dress is the letter “J”. £15 per adult (£6 children). Donations of cakes, bottles of prosecco and raffle prizes will be very welcome. DOGS…. you are more than welcome to bring your 4 legged friends but we kindly ask that they are kept on a lead as we know there will be sheep and cows along the route! It is important that we respect the farmers’ livestock and fields etc.
Also at the 2 mile mark will be the opportunity to collect a water bottle, please refrain from littering whilst on the remainder of the route, we love our countryside untouched so please please leave it that way. Also we will be too hungover Sunday to go litter picking!
