Son of WW2 refugees, born in Scotland in1948 and raised as an itinerant military brat (RAF) living all over the UK.
Graduated in medicine from The London Hospital Medical College. Took the Queen’s shilling and served in the RAMC 1972-77. Undertook higher surgical training in Cardiff and appointed consultant orthopaedic surgeon in 1984 serving out my career in Newport till 2015. Founding chairman Ewyas Harold & District U3A 2013. Community council member since 2018. Secretary Retired Welsh Surgeons. Emeritus chairman Garway Fly Fishers.
