Weekly on Mondays:
Brown garden waste bags (pay to use service).
Weekly on Thursdays:
Blue food bin; Red and purple recycling bags;
Fortnightly on Wednesdays (Week 2):
Green Box for Glass; Household rubbish bag. (maximum 2 per household)

Doctors and Dentists
The nearest GP Surgery is the Golden Valley Practice in Ewyas Harold (which is actually in England!). The practice also operates as a pharmacy (for prescribed medication only).

Grosmont Village has a local Post Office which also sells newspapers and magazines and groceries. Opening times:
Monday: 09.00 – 13.00
Tuesday: 09.00 – 13.00
Wednesday: 09.00 – 13.00 and 15.00 – 17.00
Thursday: 09.00 – 13.00 and 15.00 – 17.00
Friday: 09.00 – 13.00 and 15.00 -17.00
Saturday: 09.00 – 13.00
There are small shops with Post Offices in Pontrilas and Ewyas Harold. The nearest banks, supermarkets, and other dentists etc are in Monmouth, Abergavenny or Hereford. The nearest petrol/diesel is in Ewyas Harold or on route to Hereford.
Unfortunately, the weekly bus service to Abergavenny has been cancelled after 28 August 2017.
The nearest railway station is in Abergavenny or Hereford.
There is a Book Stall in the church for anyone to use. There are both fiction and non-fiction books and for a small donation are available to buy or to borrow. All proceeds go to the church.
Since February 2014 Grosmont Village has been collecting for the Abergavenny Food Bank. The box is in the nave of the church and any items of non-perishable food, toiletries and cleaning materials are always welcome. The items are taken down to Abergavenny regularly.

Comment: We have a pair of Stag bedside tables in dark wood, each with a single drawer. If anyone would find them useful please contact me, they are free if you can collect from Sally Rucks (house next to Little Rectory beside the church).
BEKO (WHITE STAND-ALONE) FRIDGE (posted 1 June 2020)
Comment: I have a Beko white under counter (or stand alone) fridge that is looking for a new home. It is used but still in good condition… Open for self-collection from in the village, you need to get it home ( we also have a sack barrow you could borrow if you’re in walking distance from close to the pub). I’m looking for a reasonable / small donation for charity in return please.
