Grosmont & District Gardening Club

December Meeting – Christmas Social to be held at the Old Pandy Inn, Pandy

AGM Chairman and Treasurer’s Report 2020

Dear Gardening Club Members

We shall look forward to seeing you at our meeting next Tuesday, 2nd November at 7.30pm in our usual venue, Grosmont Town Hall.

The meeting will commence with our AGM to be followed (shortly!) by a demonstration of a “Wild Wreath” by Charlotte from Hilary’s Flowers.

I am attaching the agenda for the AGM and a copy of the report which was emailed to members in lieu of a physical AGM because of the covid pandemic. Please print off your own copies if possible.

Tuesday will also be the night when subscriptions for the coming season are due – that is £12 per person, £20 per couple.

Also we shall be collecting your choices and payment for the Christmas Social on Tuesday 7th December. As a reminder, I have attached the menu.

Lastly, we are planning once again to have our wonderful Christmas Hamper raffle at the Social and look forward to receiving your donations for the hampers at the November meeting.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.

With good wishes from the Chairman and Committee

Membership costs are as follows: Annual Fee: Single member £12.00 Couple £20.00.  There is no attendance cost for members but Non member guests will be charged £4.00 (except for special events which will be as advertised). We have a speaker, visit or other event each meeting as well as a raffle and Gardeners’ Market sales table. Tea, Coffee and biscuits are provided as the final part of each meeting to allow time for members and guests to socialise and seek advise from our speaker or each other.

Our Gardeners’ Market provides the opportunity for members to sell their own produce, such as excess veg, pickles, eggs and plants. 20% of any sales go to club funds. We also produce a monthly newsletter for members. To see previous editions look in our downloads section.
