Best pub in Gwent 2016!
A pub means a lively bar, a meeting place for local residents and a welcome for passing strangers; it means darts, cribbage and boules; it means a welcome for muddy walkers and the farmer with his dog and it means music. Real ale and cider.
Described as “the best place to view rugby outside the Millenium stadium” the Angel is a great place to view international rugby matches. Its regular patrons are passionate rugby fans and the good natured banter on the days that Wales plays England is hilarious! Anna’s homemade sausage rolls served during the Welsh and England matches.
We always have at least 2 real ales on handpump, up to 4 at the weekend. We keep a selection of at least 10 draught and bottled ciders all sourced locally.
The pub is well known for its impromptu and arranged musical gigs. We are always on the lookout for local musical talent who may be interested in performing in our traditional country pub, contact us: email@example.com.
